Last week, youth red cross smak gs went to Cilember, Bogor. in the morning, we had some kind of ceremony with bu etik, then we went straight to cilember. as soon as we got there, we loaded the things we brought from school to the camp area and suddenly it was raining. so we stood up tents as many as we can to putted the things in. then we did nothing but waited for the rain to stop. after the rain stopped, the seniors told the juniors to eat while the seniors were preparing for the first session. thanks God, we started the activity on time, even though we skipped the opening ceremony, too bad.
The first thing we did was the ice breaking games. the game was they as a team had to took 5 bottles for their drinks until dinner. the bottle was putted around 1.5m in front of them, so they had to held on to each other, and they must not fall. i’m on team kenny, but unfortunately the winner was team senna because they took the bottle faster than kenny’s-_- after that, they have the first session of first aid with kak reza.
At night, after we had eaten our dinner, juniors had their second session with randy, it was about HT, while the seniors were talking about the ‘jalan malam’. first, we planned that the juniors would have walked one by one. i was so worried and about to cried because the track was difficult to past after it rained, and the juniors would have past this ALONE! i didn’t agree with this idea, i had a bad feeling about this. when it’s time to woke the juniors up, on of the juniors was sick, she couldn’t make it to this activity. so we decided to matched them into partners. this made me feel better. next, me and edo walked to our stands to wait for the juniors to come. edo kept accompany me because he knew that i was worried about the juniors. when we were talking, suddenly randy was panic. he told the male seniors to came into the waterfall. immediately, i told edo to go with the only emergency lamp we had. so then he went off and here i was alone in the dark forest ._.
after awhile, someone told me that kenny and monique were lost. some of the female seniors stayed with the juniors so they wouldn’t know that their friends were lost. some others were searching for kenny and monique. after we were searching for like one hour, then suddenly kenny and monique appeared. they said that they took a wrong direction and stayed calm there, they couldn’t hear our voices calling their names until they decided to go back where they were supposed to be. thanks God they are saved.
The second and third day, we had lots of thing to do. the junior learnt how to evacuate a patient in the water and the seniors made the simulation. i loved to help them evacuate. they learnt how to pass ‘halang rintang’ such as lorong sempit, gorong-gorong, tebing, and serangan udara. the juniors are more energetic, powerful, and serious than i expected them to. i’m proud of them, and now they are officially a part of smak gs youth red cross :D
